Celebrate Independence Day this year locally at one of the many celebrations & firework displays going on.
Wilmington - This town goes all out for the 4th, they have a dedicated committee that puts together an outstanding multi day event! The carnival opens Thursday at 5pm and continues thru Sunday, there's tribute bands playing, horseshoe & cornhole tournaments, 5k's & family fun runs/walks, pie eating contests, antique car shows, community cook out & so much more! Family fireworks will be Saturday the 1st at 9pm and the firework spectacular is Sunday the 2nd at 9:30! Tewksbury - Independence day celebration will be Monday the 3rd starting at 8:30am at the Livingston St recreation center. Many events all day from track & field games to carriage, bike decorating, watermelon eating & free throw contests. Water balloons, arts & crafts, face painting and entertainment! Lowell - The City of Lowell will hold a Fourth of July celebration on Tuesday the 4th from 5:00PM to 8:30PM at Boarding House Park, 40 French Street, in downtown Lowell, immediately followed by a fireworks finale and National Anthem performance from a viewing area on Bridge Street. Chelmsford - July 3rd there will be a lively concert on the common with food vendors available as well as a county fair.
